Reflection of my Summer

This year my summer has been really fun and mellow. In June and July I went on two really fun trips to Korea with my mom and Colorado with my dad.  When I came back I had some time to just stay in NYC and relax. In August I was supposed to go to gymnastics and do a month of summer training, but since I got into the Ailey School I decided not to do gymnastics anymore and do that instead. It was a hard decision because I’ve been doing gymnastics for 6 or 7 years. So for August I’ve been able to have some time to play with some of my friends and just hang out. I haven’t been able to do that in August for about 4 or 5 years, so it was nice. I think that this summer has been one of the best summers so far, even though most of my summer breaks are always fun. I am looking forward to going back to school and seeing all my friends, even though everyone wont be able to get the whole day off of school for 2 and a half months for a while.

  1. Whoa Olivia, I didn’t know that you aren’t doing gymnastics! You have done it for as long as I can remember. But I am happy for you I knew you were worried about getting in to Ailey so I am happy you got in. I am glad you had a fun time on your to trips and I am looking forward for the rest of the year.

  2. I really liked your post, but I think that you could have added more about your trips. You only said that you went on the trip. I, as a reader, want to know more about your whole summer. I think there is more that you could have written.

  3. I know that not doing gymnastics must have been a huge change for you. I hope you are enjoying the extra time to yourself and that you enjoy the Ailey school!
