In art we have been working on different types of shading skills and techniques. The techniquues we have been using are lines, crosshatching, stippling and random marks. We also had to draw each of these techniques in six different boxes with six different types of pencils. Each pencil was a different shade so within the six boxes it would be darker to light. I would say the most difficult techniques was crosshatching. Crosshatching is when you move your pencil in a X type motion all the way through. Crosshatching was difficult becuase we had to stroke the pencil in certain motion and it was pretty dificult keeping that motion. It was also pretty hard on depending if it was dark or light enough because each box had to have on eeven color and you really had to be paying attention on how hard your pressing down on the paper and if your pencil was sharpened enough.
