The best way to prevent smudging is to put a piece of paper on top of your piece of paper you are writing on and under the hand you are writing with. This is productive because your hand won’t move around on the paper so it won’t smudge the graphite. This is very recommended when you are using darker pencils like HB and up because darker is easier to smudge because the graphite is softer.

Beowulf Annotations
The way we annotated was we wrote a chapter summary in one sentence, circled vocabulary and underlined important parts. We did this so if we needed to go back and find something important we would know what happened in the chapter and then look for it if it was underlined. I am proud of how much vocabulary I learned from this book and how much more advanced my writing and speaking is now. I want to improve on finding the vocab because when I read my brain only thinks about the book not the words.
Atoms
A challenge I came across was I would make a atom but then I would see something very different. I think a atom looks like this because atoms are so small and strong I think atoms are in a ball but not actually a ball and inside that there is protection and inside is a ball the real atom. A really exciting part of building my atom was finally seeing what a atom looks like in at least my mind.
