The name of this piece is my eye. I created this work of art using our value chart and a photo of my eye. We used the value chart to know what part of the eye was which value. My favorite part is the shading around the eye. If I would change something about it, it would be the pupil. It is supposed to be angled like I am looking away, which it does from far away, but if you look at closely it doesn’t look like how I wanted it to. While making it I was surprised how you could use different pencils to make it look so realistic.

Art Value Drawing
I used the ruler with the cross hatching so I could get neater lines. If I had a lot of non strait lines then it would look like the random marks. It also stops the lines from overlapping each other if they’re wobbly.

My map project
This is my map project. It is called Monument Map. I created it by cutting holes in the map where the monuments would go in real life, and made them out of clay. I then painted it. The Brooklyn Bridge is made of styrofoam. I learned how to persevere while working on this because I accidently dropped the statue of liberty and had to start over. My favorite part was building the monuments out of clay. I really like using clay and making things in 3D. If I could change something about it, I would redo the Empire State Building because it is a little rushed. I was surprised how good everything came out at the end.

My Geometric Pattern
What I like in my geometric pattern is how if you glance at it for the first time, you can’t really pick out the pattern which is cool.
What I don’t like in my geometric pattern is how it’s hard for me sometimes to find out the pattern. It was annoying when I was putting my pattern back together because I couldn’t find the pattern.
