Today was strange. I was out side when I spotted a camel trying to have birth. I ran to it with little knowledge and started tugging at his wobbly legs. He slowly came out,eventually I got Mithoo. Which was his new name! I was so scared because of the vultures as they pecked and the moms flesh. I would try to get rid of them by kicking, but they kept coming back. I do know that if the mom is dead Mithoo could not live.The mom had died right after I got Mithoo out.  She new there was no point in living, at least I think. The mom was wise to me, she new she had to keep breathing for her son. Poor mom eaten by vultures.

I wrote this poem because I wondered what it would be like to wake up and go out side at 6.a.m. I inferred that you would be all alone, so I worked that into a poem. I wish I was like my sister. She is like the sun and a human combine. If  I was her I would say I am Phulan. She does everything right! Whenever I see her, her hair shimmers in the wind. She is like Mama. How come I am not like Mama? I love Dadi, but he is not Mama, Mama has golden eyes. Dadi is normal like me. Phulan  is special, she looks like an angle. If I were like her for a day I would feel excellent. I would feel like the world ciculated around me, just once.

The Chinese new year was very fun. I like the crafts they had to do like making monkeys.  After, we did our Tai Chi it was very scary. After we saw the Monkey king.

Wire Projects are really fun but hard. I want to work on bending the wire in the right way because other wise it is lopsided. I really should also take my time building this sculpture because they can be off.

My song is done! I am so proud because I finshed a song that was really hard for me. It may not be perfect, but nothing is. I think that I am going to work harder on adding detail to my piece and more sections because then it may be more enjoyable.

We are making music on sound trap! This is hard because you have to get a beat you like. I got my melody and it was simple, but you have get a beat after which was really hard to do. But once you get  that it is easy because you have a base to your song and you can copy and paste. My goal is to work faster so I can get it due on time.

This quarter we are learning about photosynthesis and how a plant gets it mass.. I learned about the Calvin cycle and how to make glucose. And know we are tracking water which is very complex. This was hard because there are lots of atoms I  don’t know. I am good at the part before it gets in the leaf.

In science we learned about NYC water system. It was fun because we got build a model of the section we studied. I studied Tunnles I learned that there are tunles that go under the hudson river. I hope that I can learn more cool and exiting scinece the second quarter.

Parzival reflects me as a learner because I try my best, but sometimes I slip up. I like to be detailed, but sometimes I am just not.  I think that I did a goods job on Parzival because I tried hard to get the notes that are meaningful. I think I should work harder on t his and maybe try harder because at somepoints I got a little sloppy, and I don’t want that. After we read Parzival we made an essay that I am proud of.

Parzival Essay

Who would you be without choices that you make? Without free will you may never be yourself. In the book Parzival by Katherine Paterson, Parzival, the main character chooses to go on an epic journey to become a knight, and ends up having more surprises than he thought. Parzival became king by his own free will because he was warm hearted, selfless and courageous.

Parzival rose to power by his own free will because he was warm hearted. On page 26 it says, “I shall not come back to this court,he vowed to himself, until I make amends for the wrong done to this poor lady.” He went to the castle for himself, but since he thought he had done something wrong, he left! This was an example of Parzival being warm hearted because most people would ignore the fact that there may a lady that needs help, but Parzival needs to amend this wrong done that has happened. Not only was he affectionate, but he was also altruistic.

Parzival became king by his own free will because he was selfless. On page 38 The quote said, ¨Parzival insisted the the food be divided so that all the people might have something to eat.¨ He was giving his food to people who desperately needed it. he choose to give his food away. This was selfless because he could just eat the food himself, and not share a thing! He was very giving, but he was also courageous.

Parzival became royal by his own free will because he was brave.It says on page seventeen that Parzival said, “ I will take my javelin and avenge these wrongs”. He says he can do this all by himself, and he’s not afraid at all. Parzival took his javelin to go get Orilis and Lahelin the evil knights that are Parzival’s brothers. This was very brave because he was going to fight two masterminds of evil.Parzival’s bravery enabled him to become king.

Parzival became royal by free will because he decided to go on the journey to become a king. This proves that he made decisions of his own and became king because he was courageous, kind and selfless. You are yourself, you make your own decisions, like what you want to be when you grow up. Your life is based on choices you make, like Parzival it is the same thing as us. Parzival is like Malala, she made her own decisions in life.

 I am super amazed by my work. I also really think that I tried to be creative on my essay. But it was hard because when I was looking for juicy evidence it was hard because of my notes. So this quarter I feel like that taking notes should be one of my goals. Also  maybe I should work on my grammer.
