We went on a field trip to the cloisters last Friday. It holds
medieval art. My favorite piece was the stained glass. It relates
to what we’re learning because back in the medieval times the
churches would have stained glass.

This is my Parzival essay. It is not done yet but I am very proud of the work I did on it. There is still a few edits that need to be made. When writing this I learned that essays can convince a outside readers opinion on and certain thing. The reason I am very proud of it is because I spent a lot of time on it and I think I gave good evidence to say that by Parzival asking questions it helps him.
This year in humanities we studied the med evil era. We read a book called Beowulf. It is an old epic poem. It is about a hero. When we were reading the book we head to annotate. That means we had to underline important parts, circle and define vocabulary and write a chapter summary. Annotating is important because it helps you look back in things that you can’t find if you didn’t annotate. I am very proud of my chapter summary’s because they help me understand what happened in the chapter without reading the chapter. I want to improve on defining vocab because there was a lot of words in the book I didn’t know.
This is one of the quizlet sets I study. We use quizlet to help us study for Mandarin for stuff like test and quizzes. This is an example of a video that we watched to help us with Mandarin.
Ashokan was okay. The only fun part was the ropes course. It was very interesting how I was suspended above the ground it was like I was flying. I also liked blacksmith because I learned how metal is bent. There was a lot of things this year that we didn’t get to do last year like, Blacksmith, and the ropes course. My favorite part of the hole trip was the meals. The food was so good. I was so sad at our last meal because the food was good and Grace couldn’t stop talking but I was so happy when we left because I really didn’t like the trip.
This is my Beowulf project. What we had to do was draw a picture of a character or a setting in the Beowulf book. To get a sense of what we were trying to draw we used quotes and characteristics. So the first thing we did was find quotes and characteristics in the book (oh and bye the way we had to draw the FEN). Then after that we started to draw the picture from the description from the quotes and characteristics. I found this project really hard since we had to use the characteristics and quotes and not our imagination. I learned from this project that when you get information from the book it makes your project way clearer.
