  • In this video, I was a addressing multiple things: When and where you can find proportions, and an example of an everyday situation where you might come across  a proportion.
  • Here is the scenario:  There are two gas stations, for one gas station you can get six gallons of gas for $1.50.  The other gas station, you can get four gallons of gas for one dollar.                                                                                    I figured it out by putting the price of the gas over the gallons.  That would be 1.5/6 for the first one and 1/4 for the second.  They both equal .25=one quarter.  So the overall answer would be, whichever gas station is closer, would the better one.

Math Post #2

The first photo is an example of bad note taking, because I wrote almost nothing on it, which meant that I probably was not paying attention. The second photo is an example of good note taking because it is detailed and has everything that we talked about in class that was worth writing down, upon it.  photo-on-11-11-16-at-6-19-pmphoto-on-11-11-16-at-6-17-pm

Math Portfolio Post #1

The assignment for this check-up, was to say, if and why each of the shapes(triangles or rectangles) were similar. bThe way I completed it, was by looking at my notes from that day and the day before that, and then writing the answers for what I thought, down on the homework sheet.photo-on-11-1-16-at-7-46-pm-2photo-on-11-1-16-at-7-46-pm

Take Home Test Post

1446821094714.2We did a take home test the week of Ashokan.  It was better than a normal test because we had more time to do it.  It was better and I got an amazing grade.

Math Post Of Pop Quizzes

In math Margaret had us start to do math pop quizzes.   1446820230382.1When she gave us these math quizzes, she was having us go over things we had learned in class.  It was like extra extra practice.  It was fun because we were practicing multiple skills.  I also got better.

Math Xtramath Post

This year in math we had to practice our multiplacation.  We used a cool website called Xtramath that helped us tack down our mulltiplacation facts.  It was good practice because I passed and went onto the next level of two seconds instead of three.1446819545529.1

I think that it is really important to be able to organize things because later in our life we might have to do something where we have to organize.

my tesolation

1429103493218.2

This is my tesolation.  In the beginning of the third quarter  we started to learn about polygons.  I started by, doing was dragging stuff like lines and then connecting them, with correct angle  numbers and then copying them into the saved shapes toolbar.  The shapes I used for this one, are hexagon and triangle.  I ended up making stars of David and in the end, a big hexagon.

Math Graph

Screen Shot 2014-10-16 at 4.37.53 PM

This is the picture of the improved graph

My graph ended up looking like this.  I say “ended up like this” because in the beginning it looked much different then this because in the beginning of my graph 100,000 years ago I had it at zero(One mistake) because like 30 apes turned into homo; sapiens, they did not just appear.  also I had it so that at 8,000 years before the year Zero 5.5 billion people were alive.  It actually was that 5 million people were alive instead! That tripped me up but now it is better.  But even though there are 7.8 billion people a]live right now.  There were only 5 million back then.  FWI humans were created 200,000 years ago. (just to show you how long it took them then to get as high as 5 million and how it took only about 2 thousand years to get to 7.8 billion.)
