Senior Project is super interesting. I am half way into my third week and I really am enjoying the experiences that I am gaining from working at a film production company. It is showing what a job would look like in the industry and the problems that I would have to deal with. I have had so many one of a kind things happen to me if I was just completing high school. Some of the tasks that aren’t related to film production are equally interesting and important, for example I had to get a picture reframed in a rush timing before an important meeting that my boss was having. She told me about this on Wednesday and the job had to be done before Monday so I called at least twenty framers before I found the framer that would reframe this massive picture. On Saturday he called me and told me he wouldn’t do it so I went to his shop on 36th and 3rd to convince him that I had to get this pictured frame. After about an hour of back and forth I finally got him to do it. Even though none of that is directly related to a movie it still is giving me life experience of how to achieve my mission. I have also been consuming a lot of media, one film that I have been really into is Sorry to Bother you. It has been super interesting to look at from a film making perspective. It has been super fun also listening on zoom calls and pitches because I am able to see how those types of meetings are conducted. Also when I worked on and read the stuff that they are sharing it is cool to see. The writing process of this movie must have been super interesting because it is such an out of the box topic. The writing process has been slow though because I think its hard to start but when I get to thinking its really fun to start creating these ideas. I did a practice exercise with two of my friends on making a movie and it was really fun to do. I am excited to keep coming up with ideas and working on the ideas for my treatment. Overall these past few weeks have been such a positive experience and I am excited to keep you all updated for what I do in the future!
