At this point, I am considering the medical track for college. I was hoping to be able to do a hospital observership for my senior project, but due to the pandemic this seems unlikely. As a more feasible project, I thought about doing an art study. However, I feel that at this point in my life, I want to the span on the project on biological science. In considering how I can gain insight on the field without physically being there, I thought maybe I could expand my knowledge on biological functions through a personal study. Maybe I can come into school and ask a teacher to help guide me in terms of articles to analyze. I am going to look into possible virtual internships to do on top of this. I think that having these parallel perspectives will allow me to gain a deeper understanding of the medical field. Perhaps I could study things specific to this pandemic time (such as vaccines or virus evolutions). I feel that this plan is much more feasible than a hospital observership and aligns very much with my interests.
