This week I worked on setting up drip tube irrigation and deer fence. This protects the newly planted cucumbers and squash and gets them watered into the soil well. I also disked a field so that it can be cultivated and planted soon. I continued to pick asparagus daily. I also mowed and weed-whacked around the strawberry plants to prepare for harvest which will begin very soon. I also pruned back the tomato plants in the high tunnels. They are getting much bigger. I seeded about 30 flats of gourds and pumpkins which will be planted in a few weeks. I mowed hay with the john deere tractor and also changed the oil and coolant filters on the international tractor. I continued stringing the plants in the high tunnels and also stacked hay bales in the barn.
