- What have you discovered about your process, your habits?
I discovered that it’s hard to form fully fledged essays. That part takes time and editing and a lot more attention away from just the creative process. I love going out into nature, taking notes, noting down things to think about in my reading, and observing most of all. It’s not as scheduled as I might have thought. You can’t just always sit and write. It’s a mental process as well. I tend to do more writing and walking than I do reading. I skim and point out lines that intrigue me but at the end of the day, it’s more about what I write and how I interpret what I see and feel in those moments of tranquility and solitude I feel in nature.
- Now, what do you know you don’t know? Circle back to your essential question.
I’m having trouble finding a concrete answer to my essential question. Because there really isn’t one. It’s how you experience it on your own. For mental health, some people write best in different states of mind and in different places. I’m finding an answer for myself. Even though it might be as simple as I need to be in nature. I’m finding it more exciting to note the times I can’t write. Even in the most beautiful places. I just can’t always write.
