I have discovered that deadlines really help me get work done. I have also discovered that when I’m really interested in what I’m doing and when I’m enjoying it time goes by quickly and I don’t get distracted as much. I’ve also learned while working that I can’t always be doing really hard things. I’ve learned to balance out my work time with light reading and heavy/dense reading so that I don’t get burnt out and start getting distracted. I’ve also learned that doing work with a friend, like doing work with them while I’m on facetime for example, is helpful and helps me stay focused. I’ve learned a lot about myself through this project. Because I’ve been writing about my own experiences so much, I’ve metacognitized often, and I’m more aware of myself and my own feelings than I ever was before.
