So far I have something that has been hard for me so balancing answering my essential question through my own experiences as well as through general research.  Each week when I start my movies, I develop a whole subset of questions that are specific for that week, since my essential question is such a large question, I feel that this is the best way to work towards answering it. The challenges that I am struggling with when it comes to research are ones that I expected, It is a lot easier for me to find articles or opinions from the type of people who dominate the film industry, older white men. Sometimes I get nervous that there are voices that I am not hearing or taking into account. What I have learned on my essential question is what I expected, films, and the way people react to them reflect social and political climates quite accurately.
