It’s really interesting to compare how I went about this project in the first place to now being 4 weeks in, and seeing how much change there really was. What started off as a chore and a burden to take care of has now turned into something that I really enjoy doing. In addition to being enjoyable, I am now seeing these tasks turn into real habits. I feel weird on days that I do not go to the gym and I go out of my way to keep fit. What used to be a pain, and now I find myself switching my schedules around just so I can make time in the gym. I am starting to embrace the idea of eating new foods as well. As I’ve said before, I have been a picky eater all my life and it really got to a point where I never wanted to try new foods whatsoever. Not because I knew I wouldn’t like them, but rather because I just didn’t want to deal with it at all. Now, I really like to try new foods, and even though there was a big portion of the foods I tried that I did not like, I will still come out of this project with many new foods that I will be able to eat and enjoy. Now looking at what I do not know, as the weeks go on, I am slowly beginning to realize all of the positives that come with living a healthier lifestyle. But what I do not know is where I can go with this. How far can I take living a healthy lifestyle beyond my project and where do the possibilities lead me.
This is very interesting. It’s worth saying that good habits are a choice and then a habit. Same goes for bad habits. Once you form a pattern it’s easy to stick with it. Make sure you’re thinking about how to present this. Also, if you were to stay on this path, could you compete for a place on your college team? Why/why not?
