Here is a 3D SketchUp model of my third assignment for my Design Communication I course. Using the measurements provided by my rough sketch I highlighted in my las Documentation Post, I was able to recreate my draft digitally. As a reminder, here is the rough sketch I used to outline the measurements of my model:
For further reference, here is the final version of my 2D draft (measurements not included):

Windows:
My model is by no means perfect. Two of the windows have a different opacity from the rest (I’m not sure why and I am unsure of how to fix it). I am not extremely pleased with the gaps between the windows. We were not given measurements, so I had to guess how thick they should be. I wish I could decorate the exterior of the “room.” Perhaps if I have more time, that could be a fun independent project to work on. For now, I look forward to next week’s assignment, which will involve me drafting my bathroom. I expect to be much more challenged than I was this week, both on my drawing and on my SketchUp model. I look forward for what is to come!
Isabella, I think there is something really powerful in seeing the evolution of this project across multiple forms. Each reveals important aspects of your working and invites different questions. As the viewer, it is also interesting to consider how one “moves” through these different ways of looking at the same thing.
