CR #3

I have seen significant improvement in my life drawing which does answer my essential question of time in resulting in learned skills. I have dedicated my practice to solely drawing from life and using different sizes of paper as well as very different subject matter. I did not expect to begin to enjoy life drawing as it has long been something I have actively avoided due to my dislike of it. I’ve faced challenges with perspective drawing on angular objects especially. I have also begun to only use a lead pencil and eraser. or charcoal if I am working larger. going forward I am going to work bigger and try to stand and draw. I have learned firsthand that if you dedicate yourself to something you will improve and find valuable lessons. I am curious how this focus on life drawing will aid my artwork in general and how it will translate into drawing from reference. Moving forward I will be focusing on drawing the figure. I will draw from life and reference and work larger than my sketchbook. I will definitely bring in the skills I have honed while focusing on life drawing.
