Solomon Karpati: Critical Reflection #2

One moment that relates to my essential question would be my time working on the final project of the Existentialism literature class. I was tasked with explaining why I was passionate about art, and explored many different art pieces and subjects. One specific topic I explored was abstract art, and how messages could be conveyed by something that doesn’t even depict a real life object. Thinking back to the subject, I still find it interesting how abstract art uses the observers mind to pull the message together. Alongside this, every piece of art uses abstraction to some degree, so really it’s about setting up the message to be put togther by the person observing it. Relating this to my current project, I strive to understand the different ways I can setup, and control different elements of a painting to change the outcome of my message.
