Describe a moment and analyze: “Write about a single experience or moment, and ask: how does this moment, experience, or encounter relate to my essential question?”

When I was interviewing my uncle for his Matzah Ball recipe, he told me the story of how he learned the recipe. His grandma never outright taught him the recipe, he had to learn from watching her cooking the Matzah balls year after year. If I didn’t interview my uncle, that story may have been lost to history.
