Describe a moment and analyze: “Write about a single experience or moment, and ask: how does this moment, experience, or encounter relate to my essential question?”
- You can also compare it with learning experiences you have had elsewhere, whether in or out of a classroom, at LREI or elsewhere.
My essential question is.. How can I identify thematic similarities in the content of peoples’ dreams? I don’t think I’ve ever really encountered my essential question because people don’t talk about dreams very often. Also, I don’t see when I would identify thematic similarities in the content of people’s dreams.
I have been logging my dreams for a couple years now though. Every once in a while I decide to see if there are any similarities between my dreams.. I don’t do this too often or even really interpret my own dreams (I probably should). But yeah, sometimes I scroll through the hundreds of dreams I have on my notes app and read through them. It has been interesting to see how my dreams changed since covid started… I started having a lot of dreams about bombs dropping from the empire state building for some reason (which is kind of like a recurring theme, but each time different things happen). I’ve always had a lot of anxiety dreams and nightmares mostly about school… which kind of calmed down when covid started(obviously because we weren’t going to school). The anxiety dreams stayed though, along with the bomb dreams, I had a lot about sharks, people dying, and just generally really weird dreams.
