What was the most surprising and/or unexpected idea/challenge/opportunity encountered in today’s work?

My work has been going pretty well throughout the last couple of days. I was getting closer and closer to finishing up one of my songs. I wrote a chorus and two verses already and recorded them into ProTools. The most unexpected challenge in my work today was having my ProTools crash. This is something I have encountered before and there is nothing really that can be done about it. At first I was extremely angry. I almost felt like just giving up on that song, but I know musicians go through challenges like this and keep their head up. This almost made me more eager to re record my verses better than I did before, with more emotion and inspiration. I now know that I need to save my work constantly in the future after new ideas are added to my session in protools. I almost now need to expect a ProTools crash every 10 minutes so I can remember to save my work before hand.
