My first item I am making is a long red dress. I bought a reused pattern I got off Ebay to get something second hand and reduce waste as well as fabric from Fabscrap, a company which takes leftover fabric from people who were going to throw it out. This week I learned how to use patterns, which required a lot of detailed work but it is something that I was very excited about learning.  I had  to  take  a lot  of  notes  in  order  to  plan out  what  I was  learning  and  what  materials  were  needed. I learned  how  to lay  out  the  patterns  on  the  fabric  and  how  to  follow  the directions  to  sew  them  together  properly.
