Project Title:

Youths voice in Basketball

Essential Question:

As a young fan/player how do I find my voice and share my insights on the game of basketball?

Statement of Purpose:

For my Senior Project, I will create a basketball podcast that interviews youth basketball players and coaches discussing their thoughts on the game. The interviewees will range from coaches who have coached professional players and played professionally to student athletes who balance their love of basketball with their school work. 

Overview: 

I want to create a voice for youth players. We hear stars talking about their experience but we do not hear the soon to be stars. The youth have a very different perspective on the game and where it is heading and I am going to explore that perspective.

How will you measure your success?

I will create weekly podcasts each week on a different topic. I will combine the different interviews into different podcasts in order to follow a specific question in each podcast. 

Resource List

I will be watching NBA and NCAA games as well as listing to the WOJ podcast and reading various articles on the topic.

Daily Plan & Schedule

Each day I will either be editing, researching, or interviewing. This will all depend on the interviewees schedule.

Documentation Plan

At the end of senior project I will have 6 podcasts going in depth on my topic.

Material Needs

I do not need many materials, at most I would borrow a podcast mic from the school.
