Goals:

• To think more like a producer (involves taken the time to make sure everything it setup correctly and to know when certain sounds are needed or not
• Improve my singing (using courses to help practice)
• Improve my mixing skills – wanting to make sure every time I make music, I’m putting the time and effort to make each vocal and each track sound the best I can make it
• Finally my last goal is to successfully create an EP of 3-6 songs

Timeline of work:

• April 10th –> 17th (Middle of recording a song) chorus done – maybe still needing a last verse or 2 (singing class) – Nick meeting
• April 17th –> 20th (finishing up my vocals) making sure everything is recorded correctly and ready to be mixed
• April 20th –> 23rd (mixing class) – (finish mixing song) – meeting with Nick
• April 23rd –>30th – finishing song #2 and beginning to mix my vocals (continuing to take and learn music strategies from my courses taken
• April 30th –> May 5th (working on song 3)
• May 5th –> 8th (meeting with Nick and mixing my 3rd song)

May 8th to the end: I will continue to start new song ideas and continue to mix my songs to have them completely ready to be presented

Documentation:

To document my process I show my work through the songs I have completed. In addition, I think it would be cool if I show a short video of myself recording and “Julien’s Day In The Studio” could be a cool addition.
