My project pitch brought up a lot of good ideas for improvements and tweaks that will help make my project more concrete.
- Action Item Area: I began the process with a lot of resources so my biggest task for the coming weeks will be to go through my resources and narrow down specific subjects and topics I want to explore.
- Timeline/Materials: I’ll need to dedicate some time to reading a few of the books I picked out and watching some of the course videos. Karyn is also looking for a few books that will aid my study so once I get that book list I will likely have to do some research on those books as well.
- Reason for Item: Narrowing down my list of topics will give me a structure to plan my weeks out with so that I can ensure I stay motivated/focused/inspired during the 6 weeks.
- Notes:
- Action Item Area: Researching other artists
- Timeline/Materials: This will be research focused more on the creative aspect of my project as well as the actual intersections of art and philosophy. I want to look into any artists whose focuses align with philosophy in some way as well as philosophers whose works are related to the arts.
- Reason for Item: This will give me both inspiration but also something to compare my work to. Its always interesting to look at the ways artists interpret art and language – and philosophy! It’ll give me an interesting and intriguing lens to study my topic from.
- Notes: resources will include basic googling and a look into a few art books that I know of. It will also take me longer to complete the next blog post because I have to do this research before I post about my weekly plan!
- Action Item Area: Instagram page!
- Timeline/Materials: Making the actual instagram page for my project won’t take much time at all but I want to come up with a plan for how I want to format things and how I want to document my work.
- Reason for Item: I want to make sure I involve both writing and photography on my page to turn it into an accurate documentation of my project. It will also be more fun for me to share my thinking as well as my art!
- Notes: canva/photoshop to help plan out/structure posts! (sources)
I haven’t made any key changes to my project since the pitch – only improvements!
