After talking about my idea with James French, he talked about how though this project will be useful for me, I have to be able to make it useful for others, in a way where my project will give incite and knowledge. I have been an athlete all my life and physical fitness is a very important thing to me. Additionally, I have been a picky eater ever since I was a baby and have never really tried to expand my palette. I wanted my project to incorporate both of these aspects of my identity, while teaching others how to stay fit.
For my senior project, I want to experiment with different diets, such as an all vegetarian diet, a plant based diet, etc, and see how these diets affect my life and discover what is the optimal diet for an athlete and just for the ordinary person. I would judge how eating helped me in the weight room, while playing basketball, my sleep and many more categories to find out which diet is the best. My experimental questions are:
How does living a healthy lifestyle effect someone and effect other parts of their life?
Is redefining ones habits in such a quick time even possible?
Can diet directly correlate to weightlifting, and strengthen the connection with ones body?
