30 Museums in 30 days

 

I want to be inspired, that is my biggest goal in life. It might sound like going to one Museum everyday for a month does not leave enough time for depth, analysis, and critical thinking, but I have found that I can pace myself differently when I am interested in what I am studying. This project happens over nearly six weeks, and I realized I needed to section off half of that time for an experience that feels important and urgent to me. 

Prior to zeroing in on this idea, my main goals for Senior project were: 

Travel: I wanted to experience new places in my city that I otherwise would not go to 

Art: I wanted to have a component where I am using my photography and fine art interests 

Comfort: I wanted to step outside my comfort zone, this project requires a lot of critical writing and strict scheduling, two skills that I am not confident in. 

 

What do I need from LREI? 

Art materials are needed, I am hoping to shoot at least 10 rolls of film and make 10 4×5 linoleum prints. Otherwise, I will look to LREI for certain Museum discounts as a student.
