I have been an athlete all my life and physical fitness is a very important thing to me. For my senior project, I want to learn what it takes to be a professional athlete/weightlifter, from working out daily, to meal plans. My essential questions I want to explore are:
How does living a healthy lifestyle effect someone and effect other parts of their life?
Is redefining ones habits in such a quick time even possible?
How does weightlifting strengthen the connection with ones body?
For the experiential portion of my project, I would be completely changing the way I live my life. I would work out 5-6 times a week, using my knowledge I have gained from the research part of the project. I would completely change how and what I eat and would focus on eating healthy. I would do other sorts of athletics, from basketball, to soccer, in order to keep myself in shape. This idea would be possible for me to do whether COVID shuts everything down again or everything stays open. I would use gyms in order to workout daily, but if things close, I have a respectable gym setup in my house and could do all my research about food/athletics/weightlifting right from my computer
