As somebody interested in research, design, and collaboration, I hope to channel and explore these interests in an internship or online class.  My essential questions will center around how effective marketing can increase revenue? What collaborative skills contribute to effective marketing? What designs & strategies can one take to attract profitable customers? I have been working since I was 12, and with every company I have wondered the same question- how are we making money? The core to this question is marketing. Marketing beautifully incorporates all my passions: research, design, discussion.

During senior project, it would be an incredible opportunity to work at a marketing company or be a social media intern. I have experience doing this for a law firm, but I would love the chance to work for a company that I am more interested in: newspaper, fashion, health, education etc. An internship is an incredible opportunity to explore a new field and learn the basics of a new trade. I have experience with multiple internships, and feel I am prepared to work for another business. I have been applying to many companies, and have received an offer at a young start up called MNTN to do social media for their clothing company. MNTN focuses on sustainability and avoiding fast fashion. This opportunity would still be available virtually as well. The stability of this coIf this internship falls through, maybe I could take an online class on marketing and social media design. I would love to learn more and explore my existing interests in a more serious environment. Additionally, I can help Elisabeth with creating a textbook for new English learners.
