I have identified some essential questions that could drive my senior project ideas forward. One idea is to ask the question “How can I expand my knowledge on food cultures in NYC?” I want to learn about the foods that different cultures make and eat, their recipes, and then teach myself how to make those meals. My plan is to then document that process with photography and make a blog to post everything. I really like this essential question because it would allow me to learn about so many different cultures in just one city. Usually to learn about different lifestyles you would want to travel to those places and people but this question encourages me to look into my own community and city and see the different people who mix here. This is just a first idea and I am also working on some more essential questions to possibly use but I want to cross cooking / baking and photography because those are two things that I am very interested in
