Choose a “critical incident” that set you on your path and helped you uncover how you want to make an impact (your contribution) through your senior project experience.

This summer I had the privilege to tutor 2 brothers Mark and Anthony. I made up the curriculum and it was my job to get them inspired and excited for learning each day. I realized I had such compassion and empathy for these children who were going through the same learning process that I had gone through many years ago. I know that in some shape or form my project will have to do with me teaching others or using compassion and empathy to lead.

One of the core strengths that I have(and that purpose finder corroborated) is that I lead with compassion. It is such a rewarding process teaching others and teaching/leading with empathy. I’m excited each day to start a new unit with them, and that is a prize itself.

I am possibly thinking about teaching underprivelagded kids how to sail, which incorporates a passion of mine and teaching/leading with compassion.

I want people to remind me that your purpose can be the help of others, something that I believe is a principal of what it means to be me.
