I am a little stuck on what exactly I want to do because while I have many ideas I am not sure which one to pursue. Most of my ideas will not require me to go anywhere, but I also want to make sure that I can easily do my project, whatever it ends up being from home, and then if it turns out otherwise that will just be a bonus. The project that I am going to talk about below is just one option and I am totally fine with changing it since I don’t feel committed to any of my ideas at this point.

Story: Over the summer I got the opportunity to help my mom set up and open her store in Montana. That was a really great experience because creating my own business is something that I am interested in. While retail specifically was not what I am most interested in it was still really amazing to see first hand what goes into making a store and working to create a successful business. Since I really enjoyed doing this for my senior project I would like to do something where I can use some of the skills that I have learned as well as some of the values that I took away. Also somewhat related but after living in Montana for a while and noticing how the culture there is very different from here and even just the community of this school I realized how important education is and how a good education can allow you to think for yourself. Since education is something that is important to me I would also like to somehow incorporate this into my project.

Strengths: From the purpose match thing that we did it identified perseverance as one of my top strengths. I think that this is something that I will definitely need and use when not only thinking about my senior project but also when it comes time to actually do the senior project. I also feel like this is something that is going to be especially important this year because I would not be surprised if plans have to change and I hit bumps along the road because of coronavirus.

Purpose: for my purpose, I would like to somehow combine education and innovation, while also ideally doing something with art. (I didn’t mention this before but I always wanted to do something with art for my senior project since I had always envisioned myself doing some kind of art project) While I am still trying to land on an exact idea I think that by focusing on these values that I have outlined above I will be able to come up with a good senior project.
