Your Reason: I want to use this special opportunity to find a way to make society better, as well as getting more involved in topics that I am interested in (mental health, art, soccer, writing, environment, etc).

Your Story: In Jane’s “Exile and Immigration class”, students and I volunteered at an organization called New Sanctuary. It is located in NYC and offers support to hundreds of immigrants facing detention and deportation. After working with this organization through Jane’s class, I realized that my purpose was to find a way to support those that are struggling, as well as find ways to make the world better for everyone.

Your Resources: My resources include the internet, my soccer team, books, art materials, and the environment around me.

Your Strengths: Through my work on the soccer field, art room, and in school, I have realized that my strengths include: Being creative, attentive to detail, compassionate, collaborative, hard-working, and thoughtful.

Your Result: I want to be able to pursue my purpose by doing something that collaborative or creative. I also want to be involved with organizations that are known for whatever cause I choose to focus on. The end result would be me making a positive impact on the world/people’s lives, as well as be able to gain a deeper understanding of topic(s) that I’m interested in.
