Your Story:
Participating in a sport like horseback riding for over 12 years comes with a great amount of privilege. I realize how lucky I am and always want to find new ways to help others, whether human or animal. Because of this desire of mine, my sisters and I created a non-profit horse and dog treat business (AJCS Treats) in which we give all of our earnings to a new charity of our choosing each year.
Your Strengths:
I am very good at public speaking whether in large groups or smaller ones and conversions with strangers that make them feel comfortable, more generally. This ‘people person’ skill of mine has helped our small business very much. I have brought in a tremendous amount of customers and money.
State Your Purpose:
My purpose is to enthrall and entice (new) customers to purchase my products so that I can use the profits earned to support family financial troubles primarily due to the negative impacts of COVID-19.
How:
With the limited time I have because of school, horseback riding, work, and college applications, I have had almost no time for my business this year. With the extra time that senior project can give me, I can make and sell more products therefore earning more money so that I can help more people. I will also have more time to make newer products and advertise in order to gain a larger clientele.
Give a call to action:
I just need whichever faculty member works with me, to support me along this journey and give me constructive criticism when necessary!
