Reflection: 

I was slightly confused about the purpose statement and when I made it I was already directing it towards a cerin topic or area of study, but now looking back I think that I should have made it broader. However, the process of thinking about impact areas while it did reaffirm what I had already thought about doing for my project also made me think about other topics that I could look into. One of the impact areas that came up as a topic for me after taking the survey was education and thinking back to the other exercises that we did where we had to design a possible project in a few minutes I think that this was actually something that came through in those initial project ideas. While it may have taken a slight back seat in my mind when thinking of those potential project ideas untimely I believe that most of them aimed to further educate people about a certain issue. Overall I would say this exercise helped me to ground some of my ideas by bringing to the surface other things that are important to me and then by helping me focus on how those interests intersect with each other.
