This is the beginning of sci-fi week for the podcast, and honestly, this is the week I am most excited for. Something about science fiction is so gripping. Perhaps it’s the levels of “realism” that inspires the, or the visuals of space that we never get the chance to see with our own eyes. Additionally, sci-fi as a genre is very much about hope and progression for humanity. While that may not be true for all movies of the genre, an overarching theme that I pick up is “exploring new frontiers” or “humanities endeavors in more advanced age”. These are all interesting to me, and I am hoping that the movies that we watch capture that.
