These are the instructions to add your LREI Connect calendar to the Calendar app on your iPad.

It is easier to do this process on a computer, either at home or in the technology lab. But you can also do this on your iPad. Please follow these directions thoroughly. If you have any issues you can email help@lrei.org, or you can visit Julia or Clair in the Lab.

Step 1: Copy the link from LREI Connect:

Go to www.lrei.org, click on LREI Connect on the upper right corner, sign into Connect.

Click on Assignment Center:

Once in the Assignment Center click on the small triangle with three bars, near the top right of the page. Once there, copy the Webcal URL. It’s a long URL so be sure to copy the entire thing!

A tip you can try when highlight on an iPad: click the link once, then click again about a second later. You’ll see the option to ‘select all’ and the ‘copy’ the link.

Step 2: Paste the link into your LREI Google Calendar

When you’ve successfully copied the link go to your LREI Calendar calendar.lrei.org and sign in.

Locate the tab titled Other Calendars and click the small arrow to the right of it. Then select Add by URL from the drop down list. (See screenshot below for help.)

Paste the link from LREI Connect in the window that appears. Then press Add to Calendar to save changes. (See screenshot below for help.)

Step 3: Rename the Calendar

Now the Calendar is listed under Other Calendars, but you may notice that its title is that long link URL. You should change the name of the calendar so you can easily find it and use it later.

To do this, click on the small arrow next to the calendar. Then click Calendar settings. (See screenshot below for help.)

The default name of the Calendar is the link that you pasted. Click on the Calendar Name field and delete the link. Now you can rename it Homework Calendar or Assignment Calendar. Then press Save to save changes. (See screenshot below for help.)

Your Calendar has been added to your LREI Google calendar successfully!

Step 4: Sync the calendar to your iPad Calendar app

You need to make sure your calendar is correctly syncing with the calendar app on your iPad. To do this, go to www.google.com/calendar/syncselect

You may be asked to log into your gmail (lrei.org) email again. Select the Homework calendar you created from the Shared Calendars section. Make sure it has a checkmark next to it then press save on the bottom right.
