My science teacher Sherezada asked us to build a ramp using one piece of tape and one sheet of newspaper. The ramp had to have a turn. A marble had to be able to successfully go down the whole ramp and arrive safely at the bottom. Spencer and I achieved that goal and next Sherezada told us to conduct an experiment using everything we have learned about the forces, and told us we have to build the same ramp over again. The experiment Spencer and I chose to explore was, How does the weight of a ball effect the speed?  We took two balls that were the same size but weighed a different amount and timed each one going down the ramp three times. Then we averaged out the three test trial times to find out the speed of which each ball went. I had a lot of fun during this unit and I loved having the freedom to chose the experiment we were going to try.
