Tuesday, March 4

Due Wednesday, March 5

1. Bring digital versions of your five “best” poems–on a flash drive or emailed to yourself. No more handwritten versions. You will not be able to participate fully in Writing Workshop tomorrow if you do not have these digital versions of your five best poems!

Due Thursday, March 6

1. Read and annotate the Milton Meltzer packet about the Great Depression in order to prepare for our work with Harper Lee’s To Kill a Mockingbird. Complete the handout. I strongly suggest tackling this tonight, as you WILL get more Core homework tomorrow. If you are absent, please make an attempt to do the reading: arrange to pick up a copy from the front desk, make copies from a friend…

1. Keep working on your Progressive Era Final, the Muckraker Poster Project. This poster is due next Monday, March 10th.

2. Review the Poetry Reading and Memorization Assignment and choose which collection of poetry you want to read over the next five weeks. Remember, the poem you memorize does not have to be from the poetry collection you read. You must have a personal copy of the poetry collection in hand by next Wednesday, March 12th, so don’t delay!

3. Keep up the sustainability projects and posts! See me if you are stuck. You must have at least five journal posts (with the connected log posts) before the Day of Learning on April 30th.
