Hooray, my first post! I am trying to be as good at computer things as you guys.

I will list homework here daily, as well as information about upcoming projects. Unless otherwise noted, the homework is due the next school day. You may type or handwrite homework IN PENCIL or BLUE or BLACK pen. No sharpies, markers, or sparkle pens, please. If you have questions, you can always email me at lsinclaire@lrei.org.

1. Write a poem following the same assignment as Langston Hughes in his poem “Theme for English B:”

Go home and write a page tonight.

And let that page come out of you–Then, it will be true.

Consider Langston Hughes’ style and/or content while you write. More importantly, follow your inspiration!

2. Complete “A Simple Justice” preparation. Define/explain the terms on the handout on a separate sheet of paper.

3. Look over the rubric Sarah and I will use to grade your Warriors Don’t Cry project. Fix up your project if you choose.

4. Write your election speech if you are running.

5. Remember that the temperature of our room ranges from way hot to way cold and choose your clothes accordingly. Layers are good.

6. Finalize book talk.

Schedule:
