In the petit cahier: pp. 111 and 112.

Be thinking about how you will study for a quiz on adjectives. We will begin to organize the lists and the forms next week.

For next Monday, you are to write sentences describing either a stuffed animal, a doll, or a drawing that you make of a character (like my puppets!)

Include the following structure below, being sure to put the CORRECT form of the adjectives that you are using to describe him/her.

Pay attention to the MASCULINE and FEMININE rules as well as the SINGULAR and PLURAL forms of the adjectives.

Copy the following sentences and fill in the blanks with the correct forms of the adjectives below. I have only included the masculine, singular form, which is how they are listed in the dictionary. You should have the masculine, feminine, singular and plural forms in your notes from the class today. 

You may find additional adjectives in the back of the textbook if you would like to add other ones.

Adjectives: grand, petit, moyen, long, court, rond, carre,  orange, bleu, jaune, marron, violet, rouge, blanc, noir, vert.

Sentence structure:

Voici mon animal/ma poupee/ mon personnage. (animal, doll, character.)

Il/Elle s’appelle ____________.

La tete est _________.  Les cheveux sont __________ et ____________.  Les yeux sont ________ et __________.

Le nez est_______, La bouche est__________. Les oreilles sont ____________. Les dents sont ____________.

La  figure est___________.

Bonus: Find the words for “cute”, “funny”, “nice”, “interesting” and “friendly” in French and write extra sentences.

S8 and M8:

Journal entry rough draft due tomorrow.

On p. 146 in the petit cahier, or on a separate piece of paper, write out your response to the following:

What is your “dream house” like in your imagination? 

Describe ta chambre, le salon, la cuisine, la salle a manger, la salle de bain, et l’exterieur (the outside parts of the house): le jardin, le balcon, les portes, etc. You can add additional rooms and vocabulary. Look in the vocabulary section of chapter 2 in the textbook.

Say what specifically you like about the house, using a variety of adjectives (BAGS rule and regular adjectives.)

For example: J’adore  ma grande chambre parce que c’est violette et confortable. 

                          Le salon bleu est interessant et c’est une belle salle.

Use at least 3 adjectives to describe each room.
