NYC of the Future Presentations
Biomimicry Technical Manuals
Students identified problems within cities and looked towards nature for solutions. They researched how a specific organism or natural system has solved a similar problem and used it as inspiration for their ideas. Each group’s research was organized in the Biomimicry Technical Manuals. These manuals were used throughout LREI@Home for students to give feedback to each other on their ideas and designs.

Team Specialists
Each design team was made up of five different types of specialists. Students chose their specialty, learned about it and created a promotional video to recruit future students to their jobs. They also conducted experiments and research to learn some of the science connected to their area of specialty.
