Great job on the presidential debate assignment, again! The next one is a week from today, October 15, Wednesday. Be planning ahead to watch this one as well.

**Have a wonderful, restful 5-day break! This would be a perfect time to catch up on independent reading.**

Due Tuesday: To Be A Slave, Chapter 4, the first 20 pages. Complete the handout to begin collecting writing for your upcoming essay on resistance to slavery.

Due Wednesday:

8B only: Complete writing in columns (2 min per column) that we began in writer’s notebook (you should have 5 left, so 10 minutes to go to complete all 8 columns.

8A and B: Take one of the topics you listed about and expand it into a full piece. Spend 20 minutes writing about it in your writer’s notebook. Use vivid details and have fun!

As I said above, October 15, Wednesday, is the third and final presidential debate. You will be asked to watch and analyze one more time! It will go from 9-10:30 again. :)
