1. Be ready for that quiz on your biography tomorrow! YOU MUST BRING YOUR BIOGRAPHY WITH YOU TO SCHOOL.

2. [If you were absent today (& there were a lot of you), I recommend getting a copy of the NEW TRANSLATION of Night by Elie Wiesel (translated by Marion Wiesel). I left several copies at the front desk too.  Read the preface and forward.  We did this in class and you will not want to be behind on this book.]

HOMEWORK: Read Night pages 3-22. Take notes in your writer’s notebook or use sticky notes to track your thinking–record language that is difficult or striking, questions you have, connections you make, etc. Answer questions on handout in complete sentences on a separate sheet of paper or in your writer’s notebook.
