STRETCHING AND SHRINKING  TEST #2 tomorrow during the PM class.

1) due tomorrow:  In preparation for test, complete all parts of Investigation 3.3 on pages 42 and 43.

2) due Friday, 1/28, BTB #13

Reminder: There is no IWP this week and you will not have math class on Wednesday and Thursday.

Friday, 1/21/11

1)  Due Monday:  Complete handout with chart relating the perimeter and area of similar figures.

OPTIONAL:  the ACE problems on the bottom of that handout that are good test practice problems.  I will provide an answer key on Monday.

2)  TEST next Tuesday, 1/25.

3)  BTB #13 due next FRiday.

1)  Due Friday:  KEY CONCEPTS.  Remember, this is a graded assignment so use your notes to help you write thoughtful, detailed explanations.  Draw diagrams when appropriate.

2) TEST NEXT TUESDAY, 1/25.  Please refer to blue test outline sheet.

3)  BTB #13 due next Friday, 1/28.

1)  BTB #12 due next Wednesday, 1/19/11.

2)  Please read over your notes from Investigation 2.2 (Wump Hats). You should be able to tell me what would happen to Mug’s Hat if I applied the rule ( .75x + 4,  5y – 3).

SEMINAR STUDENTS:  I stapled a copy of today’s class notes to the drawings of your wump hats.

Wednesday, 1/12/11

Due Friday, 1/14/11:  Investigation 2.2, Wump Hats:

-finish drawing the 5 hats

-in your notebook, make some other observations about the hats and how they compare to Mug’s hat.  What do you notice about the rules and how Mug’s hat changed?

-do C2 on page 25.

Due next Wednesday, 1/19/11:  BTB #12.

Wednesday, 1/5/11

Due Friday: ACE #1, parts a through e, on page 28 (use the handouts).

Finish Investigation 2.1 on page 22.  Once you have drawn all the WUMPS, which is parts A and B, please answer part C in your notebooks.
