TEST REVIEW for 12/13.

Monday’s test (12/13) will cover Stretching and Shrinking Investigations 1.1, 1.2 and 1.3.

You should know:

1)  the three things that make figures similar and therefore be able to draw 2 similar figures or identify whether or not two figures are indeed mathematically similar.  

2)  how to identify and name corresponding sides and angles of similar figures.

3)  what the scale factor is by copying a figure at a particular percent.  For example, if something is copied at 189%, the scale factor is 1.89.  If something is copied at 43%, the scale factor is .43.

4)  how side lengths, perimeter and area change in relation to a scale factor.

5)  Read the Math On Call pages that cover, lines, line segments and rays (321-323) and naming angles (329). 

Read and study your notes and all handouts from Investigation 1.
