For Tuesday: Tug-O-War problem.  Write or type it on a separate piece of paper. It will be collected and graded so be sure to write clearly, and label any calculations.  Show it to someone else to check if it makes sense.

For Wednesday: BTB #7, each problem will be worth 2 points so work slowly and be careful.

Homework: Just focus on BTB #6 and do a good job.  Remember what we talked about in class about percent problems and setting up proportions.

1)  Quiz tomorrow on simplifying algebraic expressions:

-applying distributive property

-combining like terms

There will also be a few solving linear equations questions.

2)  Do 3 odd-numbered problems from today’s handout.

DUE ASAP: Please finish up your math reflections.  Once you do so, place them in your rainbow portfolio.  Remember that you will refer to the reflection during your family conference.  I will let your advisors know that you will be putting it in your folder.

After reading and doing some of the examples in the solving linear equation packet, complete numbers 1 and 2 on the second half of page 48.

Due tomorrow: page 58, #s 17 through 20.  Please copy the table into your notebook.

Due tomorrow:  we need to wrap-up Investigation 3.3, so please do Part D on page 54.  You can complete it on the back of the original handout.

BTB #6 will be given to you on Tuesday and will be due the following Tuesday, 10/27/09.  You will be given time to begin it in class.
