The eighth grade is excited to host Mirko Ilic, former LREI parent, master graphic designer, activist and professor, on Thursday, November 14 from 8:30-9:30 AM in M107. Mr. Ilic has authored many books about design and curates a traveling exhibit, Tolerance, featuring work from the international design community about political dissent and social tolerance. Mr. Ilic will discuss the intersection of graphic design and social justice. In addition, he will speak about his work documenting the changing symbolism- which is “hidden” in plain sight- of the white supremacy movements around the country. Please come by if you’re available.
