Constitution Works: Judges and Lawyers – congratulations on a job well-done!

Judges: Your opinion papers are due tomorrow. Please be prepared to share your opinion with the class.

Please practice your briefs and questions, and go to bed early.

Remember your bag lunch.

Constitution Works:
- Please arrange your final edits of your briefs and questions. Send these to your leaders. A final copy of each packet will be distributed tomorrow.

- Sleep well tonight!

- Practice your briefs and questions! Our morning in the courthouse is in two days!

Exhibitions: Please get your essay and Book of Secrets signed by your parents.

R&J Essay Packets: These are due tomorrow!

Constitution Works: Your group leaders have given you instruction on when to submit your materials. By Monday morning, you will receive a packet, in the order in which you and your group members will speak, and we will begin to recite our briefs and questions.

Core 4th quarter reflections: If you are one of the ten people who have not submitted your reflection, please drop it into the folder, “Eliz,4thQuarterFinalReflectionsforReports” on the MS Server.

Book of Secrets: On Friday, we will present our Book of Secrets! Please be prepared to share your book on Friday, and please answer the blog post by Friday, which is now posted.

Romeo and Juliet Essay Packet: Your final essay packet is due this Friday. By 8:30 am (*not during class*) you should have your packet stapled and ready to be submitted. Please see the previous blog post that lays out the contents of this packet.

Constitution Works:
A) Your second briefs and questions are due Thursday, June 2nd. The Chief Justices and Lead Lawyers will also be assigned their role. **Be sure to use the Constitution Works rubric to revise and edit your work. Do not wait for your peer editor to do this for you. The purpose of the peer editor is to catch minor typos.

B) Be sure to practice reading your first brief or question aloud at home!

CHAINS: The 6th and final CHAINS chunk should be read by next Tuesday, June 7th. We will have a special project for the final post, which will be announced later on this week.

Core Calendar: Today I distributed a calendar for all of our upcoming assignments. The end of the year is so close! Please keep this calendar handy, and make sure to plan ahead on all of your projects.

PROOFREADING: BE SURE TO READ YOUR WRITING OUT LOUD TO YOURSELF AND TO A PARTNER TO CATCH MINOR ERRORS =).

Constitution Works: Today we began to write our briefs and questions – how exciting! Your completed first drafts are due tomorrow, emailed to me by 8:30am.

Romeo and Juliet essay: Congratulations on finishing the writing of over half of your essay! You are now ready to complete the 5th body paragraph and conclusion on your own. We will not spend any more time in class writing this essay. Your first draft is due Tuesday, May 31st.

Constitution Works, due tomorrow: Please read the next and last 2 court cases in your purple workbook, Brandenburg and New York Times. Complete the accompanying two worksheets for these court cases. Tomorrow we will begin to write our briefs and questions!

Book of Secrets: Today you created your books with Melissa. These books should be finished by next Friday, and we will share them then as well.
