  • Devoirs pour demain- Mei-An has started a new Voicethread, posting 4 photos on which you will comment using at least 2 NEW ADJECTIVES for each (from class & dictionary & book). Remember the ne + verb + pas rule for negatives 9 (Ex. Il n‘est pas beau) ! She has emailed everyone the link to her Voicethread. Write up & Record your messages
  • Devoirs pour Lundi – Vocabulaire pour un Quiz! Livre de texte p.140 et 142

miercoles el veintiocho de octubre LJ6 & FM6

  • Tarea - SKELETONS – as directed in class you will be making a “Dia de los muertos” skeleton representing a well-known character dead or alive. Type up your descriptions in Word with accents (Insert – symbol – normal text). You can even spell check in Spanish (tools – language). Print out and stick the description beneath your decorated skeleton. You can decorate the skeleton with magazine pieces, materials, drawings etc…
  1. Name (Se llama….)
  2. Age (Tiene ….. años)
  3. What he or she is like (El/ Ella es + adjectiveS)
  4. What he or she likes (A él / ella le gusta/n + infinitive verbs)

You can add more!

  • Devoirs – Mei-An will start a new Voicethread, posting 4 photos on which you will comment using at least 2 NEW ADJECTIVES for each (from class today & dictionary & book). Remember the ne + verb + pas rule for negatives. She will email everyone the link to her Voicethread tonight. Prepare the voicethread tonight at least. If you have time, record it. If not, tomorrow.

  • Tarea – Try the “Chapter Self Test” on Go.hrw.com. The keyword is on the top of page 129. Refer to p.130 (grammar)  & 131 (vocabulary)  in the textbook to complete this. These pages will also refer you back to earlier pages in the Chapter to help you. Make a note of any challenges you encounter that you can ask me about in class.
  • THE CHAPTER 3 TEST IS WEDNESDAY. IT WILL BE A REDUCED TEST FOR SOME OF YOU WHO ARE NEW TO SPANISH BUT YOU SHOULD STILL REVIEW THE SAME ITEMS.

Lundi le vingt-six octobre MAKE SURE YOU READ THIS CAREFULLY!!!

  • Devoirs - Check out “Voicethread” online. It is a great tool for communication outside the classroom. First listen to what its about http://voicethread.com/#home.b409.i848804. Next see what other French classes have done  http://voicethread.com/#q+french . Finally for homework, take a look at my Voicethread on “descriptions” http://voicethread.com/share/693500/ I would like you to record a comment for each of the pictures using at least 4 adjectives for each (check your textbook) Make sure that the adjectives are masculine or feminine (Example for a male: Il est blond, beau, grand, jeune et drole (funny). For a female: Elle est grande, blonde, belle, jeune et drole.) You can also use nouns and verbs for example: Il est acteur. / Elle chante bien.
  • N.B You may have to register to record a comment. If you done have a microphone you can choose to record via your phone!! (thats what I used)
