6th Seminar 4.9.8

Using the triangular grid paper and the hexagonal grid paper, apply the same life rules to 4 patterns each.  The patterns should start as arrangements of at least 5 cells (touching).  Track the progress of each of those patterns up to at least 6 generations.

This means that you will track 8 patterns total (4 triangular and 4 hexagonal).

Some may die or become stable before six generations and that is ok.

When you’ve done this, you should write a paragraph (on separate paper) for each one answering the following questions:

1) How is this different from the game played on a square grid?

2) How might you alter the rules for death, birth and survival to make the game work better on this grid?
